Job Description:    

Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital at Stanford seeks Senior Citrix Engineer for its Menlo Park, CA location. Serve as strategic desktop virtualization subject matter expert responsible for supporting Citrix XenDesktop and XenApp environments. Design, deploy, implement, integrate and administer desktop virtualization environment and provisioning server. Serve as key team member involved in IS planning, enterprise-wide technology projects and issue resolutions. Design, implement and manage Citrix XenApp infrastructure, Citrix Workspace Environment Manager (WEM) and Citrix NetScaler, including installation, configuration, performance and stability, in accordance with industry best practices. Design, implement and administer virtual desktop environment and provide design and administration to support Windows domains. Manage, maintain, support, troubleshoot and optimize Citrix solutions and modify as needed. Define product/solution strategy and roadmap. Run beta and pilot programs with early-stage products, samples and demonstrations. Develop and maintain knowledge base for implementation of best practice procedures and policies. Establish infrastructure/application performance models and validation techniques. Establish best practices for monitoring and forecasting of system/application capacity. Define automated system installation/configuration procedures. Manage and maintain relationships with partner and vendors, including vendor product license/support agreements. Lead technical meetings and discussion and communicate effectively with technical and nontechnical audience. Perform all duties in accordance with all Joint Commission Requirements and Service Standards of the Hospital.

              Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in computer science, software engineering, information systems, electrical/electronics engineering or closely related field plus 8 years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience as systems administrator, systems analyst, systems engineer, systems manager or closely related in Citrix environment.

Must have minimum of four (4) years of experience with each of the following:

  1. Designing and implementing XenApp 7.15 LTSR and Citrix NetScalers
  2. VMware and Xen Desktop
  3. Implementing Citrix Workspace Environment Manager (WEM)
  4. Citrix troubleshooting
  5. Managing Citrix infrastructure, upgrading hardware, configuring operating systems, and server management

Must hold certification as Citrix Certified Professional in Virtualization.
