Job Summary

The Community Program Coordinator implements and coordinates community services, education and support programs, providing a link between the hospital and the community.

Essential Functions

Must perform all duties and responsibilities in accordance with the Service Standards of the Hospital(s).

  • Identify resource needs (staff and volunteers) needed to delivery and sustain optimal program results. Direct and manage the activities of others as appropriate.

  • Maintain awareness of and engagement with other community organizations, outreach groups, networks and educational venues to build community relations and identify new program offerings.

  • Monitor and evaluate program success; modify programs as needed to maintain their ongoing benefit to both the needs of the community and community relation goals of the hospital.

  • Participate in the financial planning (operating budgets) and results (expenses and revenue) for programs in your area of responsibility.

  • Plan and coordinate the development and implementation of programs and activities that benefit the needs of the community and align with the community relations goals of the hospital.

  • Teach, disseminate and present information about available programs and services to patients and physicians.

Minimum Qualifications

Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities as well as possession of any required licenses or certifications is qualifying.

Education: Bachelor's degree in a work-related discipline/field from an accredited college or university.

Experience: One (1) year of progressively responsible and directly related work experience.

License/Certification: CDL California Driver's License

  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

  • Ability to plan, organize, develop tactical plans and set priorities.

  • Ability to work effectively both as a team player and leader.

  • Knowledge of computer systems and software used in functional area.

  • Knowledge of marketing and community relations, assessment methodologies, practices of planning, developing and facilitating community programs and measuring results.

  • Knowledge of process improvement principles and design principles.

Pay Range

Compensation is based on the level and requirements of the role.

Salary within our ranges may also be determined by your education, experience, knowledge, skills, location, and abilities, as required by the role, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.

Typically, new team members join at the minimum to mid salary range.

Minimum to Midpoint Range (1.0 FTE): $67,225.60 to $89,180.00
